What is the NEW Google Mortgage Feature?

Share

Have you heard about the new Google Mortgage feature?

Google has partnered with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to offer a comprehensive mortgage guide designed to help consumers better understand today’s market rates, the types of financing available, get easy access to a mortgage calculator, get home refinance information, videos about mortgages and so much more. All for free.

How do you access it?

Grab your smartphone and simply google, “mortgage” and the information will appear on the first page of google.

The feature helps home buyers understand loan types such as 15-year, 20-year and 30-year fixed mortgages, FHA mortgages, VA mortgages for Veterans, ARM (adjustable-rate mortgage) mortgages, USDA mortgages for rural development home loans and more.

Want to know how much your monthly payment will be on a property you’re interested in? Use Google’s mortgage calculator to get an estimate. Simply enter the purchase price, downpayment amount, state the property is in and your credit score range.

Interested in what today’s interest rate is for a new loan, without getting the fees added on by a lender? Google Mortgage can help with that, too.

The Google Mortgage feature also provides information about recent mortgage news, home refinance information, information on what the mortgage process is like, and more.

Next time you’re in the market for a new home, whether for you, your family, an investment property or vacation home, consider googling, “Mortgage” for need-to-know information to get you started on your home buying journey.
