A businessman named George W Olinger accumulated land in the area for a development project. He named the Neighborhood ‘Bonnie Brae’ is a translation from Gaelic of a ‘pleasant hill’. The neighborhood is easily identified by its stone pillars, which were an early investment into the neighborhood’s character.
